The XBee XTender combines the strengths of the XBee-PRO® and XTend™ product lines to provide a long-range backhaul (up to 40 miles line-of-sight with a high-gain antenna) for low-power XBee networks. The XBee XTender effectively converts data between 2.4 GHz 802.15.4 and 900 MHz unlicensed operating frequencies.
It is simple to configure the XBee XTender to communicate with existing XBee or XTend networks (currently only the XBee 802.15.4 network topology is supported). Advanced configurations can be made by connecting to a PC via the on-board USB port.
